First National Bank Colorado is an affiliate bank of First National of Nebraska and is headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado. First National Bank of Colorado was established 1881, and has been a member of the FDIC since May 15, 1934.[1]

Branches

First National Bank of Fort Collins was formed on May 15, 1934 with their original name of First National Bank. Their name changed to First Interstate Bank of Fort Collins, National Association on June 1, 1981. On June 13, 1994, the name was changed back to First National Bank. Union Colony Bank in Greeley, Colorado was acquired by First National Bank February 15, 2008.

Agreement with Federal Regulators

Fort Collins-based First National Bank and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency executed a formal agreement regarding loan and credit issues on June 22, 2009. The OCC released all of the enforcement actions for late June and early July on Aug. 21, 2009.[3]

In the document, the OCC stated it determined First National "engaged in unsafe and unsound banking practices relating to its credit underwriting and administration, commercial real estate risk management, credit risk ratings and allowance for loans and lease losses."
